I'm Will, a photographer and videographer based in Chapel Allerton, Leeds. I'm fairly laid-back by nature, the kind of person who takes their time and gets it right. But when something grabs me, I become completely obsessive about it in the best possible way. Photography is one of those things.
What drew me to photography is the same thing that keeps me coming back: the idea of capturing a single moment in time and preserving it forever. An emotion, a glance, a split second of light hitting something just right. Like putting it in a bottle. That's what I'm chasing when I pick up my camera.
I shoot people most of all. There's nothing quite like it. I love food photography, the chaos and energy of fast-moving sport, and some breathtaking scenes of travel and landscape. I work mostly in natural light & I know how to use it. However, I'm equally drawn to harder, more dramatic lighting, the kind that gives an image a real edge.
My style sits somewhere between candid and directed. I want the people I photograph to feel relaxed and themselves, not stiff and posed. On set I'm calm, unhurried and easy to be around. I care deeply about quality over quantity. I'd rather take my time and get something breathtaking than rush through and settle.
Creatively, I'm powered by seeing other people's amazing work, it gives me that "fuck yeah, I want to do that now" feeling. It's what keeps me pushing to make something I'm genuinely proud of, and there's no better payoff than watching a project come together into one finished thing.
I'm available for shoots across Leeds and beyond, and I travel for work. Whatever you're shooting, I'll give it everything I've got and then some.
